Thomas J. Reno
Mr.
Reno provides guidance and technical expertise to client organizations
in all aspects of human resource management, with primary emphasis in
Compensation Consulting. He is especially involved in providing
guidance to Senior Management of Corporations including the Board of
Directors and Compensation Committee members.
Representative Accomplishments

Over
30 years experience in all aspects of employee benefits and
compensation consulting. Over twenty of those years included
experience as a Principal in the consulting practice of two major
accounting firms.

Major
emphasis has been in the executive compensation area, incentive
compensation, job pricing, including issues related to incentive
stock options, non-qualified retirement plans, and deferred
compensation.
Affiliations
Mr. Reno is a Trustee of Amigos de las Americas Foundation
and Past Chairman of the International Board of Amigos de las
Americas, Past Chairman and Director for the Cynthia Woods Mitchell
Pavilion - Center for the Performing Arts, and Past President of the
Board of Directors of the American Heart Association of Northwest
Harris County. Mr. Reno is a Board Member and officer and member of
the National Association of Corporate Directors Houston Chapter. He
was a previously a member of the Board of ACR Group, Inc. an American
Stock Exchange Company before it was acquired by WATSCO in August of
2007. He is a member of the Southwest Benefits Association and the
American Compensation Association.
Background
Prior to starting Thomas J. Reno & Associates, Inc., Mr. Reno
was a Partner with KPMG, he served as Partner in Charge of the Central
Region Compensation & Benefits Consulting Practice. He received a BS
in Business Administration from Northern Arizona University in
Flagstaff, Arizona, he also served in the United States Marine Corps
Reserve from 1964-1970. He holds a “Certificate of Director
Education”, a nationally recognized designation for Corporate
Directors from the NACD Corporate Directors Institute in October
2006.
