Making a Gift
Gifts to the Foundation for Amigos de las Américas Capital Campaign
can be made in a number of different ways. You may make an outright
gift that can be used immediately or you may defer a gift until a
later time. In some instances, donors may choose to retain part or
all of the income from a given asset.
Your gift can be used to establish an endowment fund to support in
perpetuity the AMIGOS program you designate. Under certain
arrangements, the program your gift supports can bear your name or the
name of someone you wish to designate.
A
major financial commitment calls for careful thought and planning. You
should consult with a Foundation staff member and a financial or legal
advisor to determine the most appropriate gift option for you. Also,
please see our
Gift Acceptance Policies
(pdf)
for guidance in selecting the type of gift you may want to consider.
For additional
information about the Foundation’s giving options, please submit this
online form.
Cash Gifts
A cash gift will be applied immediately to help fund any of the Amigos
Foundation's priority programs. Cash gifts are tax deductible in the
year the gift is given. In many cases, employers will match the
amount you give, thus making it possible to double or triple your
gift. To make a cash gift now,

Pledges
A pledge is a promise to provide a gift in a specific amount over a
period of time. You may pledge your gift and take as many as five
years to pay it out. To count toward the campaign, your pledge must
be in written form. To make a pledge,
