The primary roles of a Council of Advisors member
include the following: |
| |
|
|
 |
Individual
Financial Contribution
As
members of the Council of Advisors are able, they will be asked to
make individual contributions to the Foundation. Financial
support from those closest to the Foundation demonstrates to
others that the vision and purpose of the organization is strongly
backed by those involved. |

|
 |
Regional
Support and Representation By bringing together contacts, associates and friends to learn
about the AMIGOS program, members can help the Foundation achieve
a truly national reach. Possible opportunities for reaching new
supporters would be hosting dinners or informational gatherings to
expose each member’s circle of acquaintances to the positive
impact of AMIGOS and the ways the Foundation plans to support that
impact. |

|
 |
Long-Term
Directional Planning
Advisors will be instrumental in determining
the long-term goals and the appropriate role of the Foundation
through the many phases of building and maintaining the endowment.
|
During 2006, Trustees will be
recruiting the initial group of advisors. The target number of
members for the Council of Advisors is 50-80 individuals from across
the United States. |
